Terms, Conditions & Cancellation Policy

Deposit and Full Payment Cancellation / Rescheduling policy:

Please do not book online using this service within 12 hours of your travel date. Dive Course Cairns requires time to arrange this booking and operators also need to arrange catering and staffing levels for each tour or course.

Auzdive Pty Ltd Trading as Dive Courses Cairns requires full payment of the course or trip to commence your booking arrangements.
Dive Courses Cairns will refund your credit card if we are unable to secure your booking due to availability.

When we have secured your booking we will email you confirmation travel vouchers by email for you to present when you check in for your course or tour.

How does this work.

You will recieve and automatic booking request order by email for your records.
We will then contact you advising you we have secured your booking by Email, with a reservation confirmation number, Travel Voucher  and details of the course or trip available. When you have booked online you will also recieve a link to allow you to download extra information about each trip or course.

Dive Courses Cairns will not charge any fees for bookings made that are found to be unavailable at time of booking and we will advise you that the tour is full, and give you the best options available for your consideration.
Please note Dive Courses Cairns must receive at least 72 hours notice from you when choosing to cancel / reschedule a reservation prior to the start date to help avoid additional fees.

Cancellation refunds are not given within 72 hours prior to travel or commencement date. This includes factors beyond your control including medical problems, airline delays, bad weather, etc. - "Trade Practices Act 1974". Travel insurance is highly recommended.

All Dive Courses Cairns bookings are subject to a cancellation fee.

HOT DEALS are available only for the month offered for travel. They are non transferable, non refundable and the travel date can not be changed or modified.   

*Levy:

A levy is payable on many of the tours, the levies are listed with each tour as an extra fee payable. (+*Levy) The levies are made up of many separate fees and some will or may include Fuel levies, Administration charges and Government Environmental Management Charge (EMC): $5.50 An EMC of $5.50 is levied for all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area per day. Dive Courses Cairns at no time collects this *levy an all *levies are payable in full on the day of travel.

   
Cancellations fees:
a. Cancellations made more than 72 hours before your course/trip commencement date, Dive Courses Cairns will refund your deposit in Full.*Excludes TAKA Bookings

Taka: Cancellation: The cancellation fees based on the full trip value are as follows:

• 20% cancellation fee 30 days or more prior to departure.
• 50% cancellation fee if within 30 days prior to departure.
• 100% cancellation fee within 14 days prior to departure.
• Schedules subject to change without notice  

b. Within 72 hours of course/trip commencement: Full course/trip fee will be charged. *Excluding Open Water Dive Courses.

PADI Open Water Courses booked online with Dive Courses Cairns Cancellation Fees Are:

• Cancellation made more than 72 hours before your course/trip commencement date, Dive Courses Cairns will refund your deposit in Full.
• Should you find that you fail your dive medical on day 1 of the course commencement, Dive Courses Cairns will refund your full deposit. 
• If you find that during your first Scuba Diving pool experience that diving is not for you and you cancel prior to 5 pm on the first day, Dive Courses Cairns will withold a $25 cancellation fee and refund the remainder of your deposit.

We will advise you should an operator have any additional cancellation or payment request
